More than 6,000 music lovers from Bali, Australia and beyond attended this year’s Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August, drawn in by big-name headliners including French rock band Phoenix and American rapper Big Sean.

In collaboration with Ismaya Live, Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival brings together globally renowned musicians, cutting-edge djs and the best local talent to play in the tropical, open-air setting of the iconic Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak, Bali.

Combining music, mixology, food and culture, SSU 2017 had a special focus to showcasing sustainable design.

From the dramatic festival stage using 19,000 hand-painted used plastic bottles, reuseable cornstarch cups and Eko Nugroho’s 10 meter tall art installation made entirely from trash.
