DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro announces the appointment of Andre Gomez as the new General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro, with a dual role as Regional General Manager of Indonesia & Timor Leste. As General Manager, Andre will lead the 253 strong team and be responsible for the operations and performance at DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta. In his regional role, Andre will also oversee the performance of Hilton’s five hotels in Indonesia and 13 hotels in Hilton’s pipeline across the country. One of his immediate focuses in the role will be to drive the company’s brand entry into Timor Leste with the opening of Hilton Dili Palm Springs this year. 
 
Raised and educated in Australia, he is fluent in a number of languages, including English, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Cantonese and basic Tagalog. Andre is no stranger to Hilton, he joined the hospitality company in 2011 as General Manager of Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa; bringing with him 20 years of hospitality experience. Most recently, he was Area General Manager, Hainan South and General Manager Hilton, Sanya Yalong Bay Resort & Spa. Prior to that, he took the helm at Hilton Beijing Wangfujing as General Manager before relocating to India as Head of Operations for two years where he achieved successes such as establishing Hilton in the coveted Great Place to Work rankings and championing gender diversity across Hilton hotels.
