Bank Danamon recently announced a financing cooperation through sharia with PT. Bio Farma, with an amount IDR 1,5 trillion to facilitate purchasing of raw materials vaccine and other supporting materials for the production of the COVID-19 vaccine. The signing agreement to facilitate this financing is continuation from last September 220 financing with an amount of IDR 500 billion with conventional facilities. The signing agreement ceremony was attended by Herry Hykmanto (Director Danamon Syariah), I Gusti Ngurah Suharta Wijaya (Finance Director and Partnership PT. Bio Farma), which took place at Equity Tower, SCBD on last February 10, 2021.
This partnership is part of Bank Danamon's effort to support the Government's national program to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic through PT. Bio Farma who produces 15 million vaccines for the first phase in 2021. The mandate for the procurement of the COVID-19 vaccine for Bio Farma is based on Presidential Decree No. 99 dated October 6, 2020 and Minister of Health Decree No. 28 dated October 22, 2020. The Government is targeting 181,5 million people to receive the new coronavirus vaccine from January 2021 to March 2022, which requires in total about 426 million doses.
