Adapting to the New Normal era with health and safety protocols against global pandemic COVID 19, we need to be updated with the most recent knowledge when we would like to go out for dining or  to travel, especially with family. It is important to do preliminary checking or survey prior to visiting the places, whether the apply the standard health and safety protocols.

In this article, we introduce you to another member of EuroCham Indonesia - TÜV NORD Indonesia, one of the experts behind the audits and certifications helping to comply with global standards and regulations. TÜV NORD Indonesia is a member of the German TÜV NORD group which was established in 2002, and is a group of a certification, inspection, testing and training companies with national and international accreditations. TÜV NORD Indonesia is ready to support the Indonesian Government and Indonesian society in facing the New Normal era of the future.

Following years of expertise and experience in supporting the tourism sector, TÜV NORD Indonesia has been appointed by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to establish the hotel ratings in the Indonesian hospitality sector and improving their quality and service with compliance to safety, health, sanitation and hygiene standards. In order to provide a sense of security for the visitors, certified business sectors must carry out periodic surveillance audits and internal audits to prove the consistency of the applied tourism business standards.

Facing the impact of the current pandemic, TÜV NORD is supporting the Indonesian government’s program to boost domestic consumption by encouraging UMKMs (small and medium enterprises), particularly in the food, hospitality and cosmetics sector. Mr. Herdiansyah as Asia Cluster Head for TÜV NORD – OBS Food confirms: “We support them with special discounts and guidance for product analysis and special treatment with a friendly Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to obtain product licenses from BPOM, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control. The LIMS allows our partners to track certificates, to handle claims, and reduce the response time from inquiry to invoicing. Our laboratory has been ISO 17025 accredited and covers a large range of testing and calibration services to support a variety of product and system certifications. We focus on customer satisfaction, digital transformation and complying with global standards”. 

In the near future, TÜV NORD Indonesia will release a user-friendly Management Information System Application to simplify and speed up the access for information on testing processes and support, especially for UMKMs.
