Along with the rapid development of Muslim fashion in Indonesia, that supports the government's mission to make Indonesia the center of the Muslim fashion world by 2020, Muffest Indonesia 2017 or better known as the Muslim Fashion Festival was held again as an event to bring together the players from the Indonesian Muslim fashion industry.

In addition to marketing the benefits of Muslim clothing in Indonesia, the ready-to-wear craft fashions also prioritize a local cultural wealth with nods to Indonesia Trend Forecasting.

Officially opening its second year on April 6, 2017, Muffest was open until April 9, 2017 at the Jakarta Convention Center. The festival was supported by various brands, with young and senior designers and diverse design characters from conventional, contemporary, and syar'I designers like, Irna Mutiara, Hennie Hananto, Monika Jufry, Najua Yanti, Nuniek Mawardi, Sofie, Barli Asmara, Rani Hatta, Astri Lestari , Khanaan Shamlan, Rosie Rahmadi, Oki Setiana Dewi, and Annisa Hasibuan
