Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto: Beyond Urban

As a hotel located in one of Jakarta's central business points, Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto embraces its urban identity while offering a myriad of chances for relaxation. It rises right next to the upcoming LRT rail with direct access to the highway, not missing a chance to offer the vibrant city view from all of its rooms.

The hotel boasts 253 rooms, including Superior and Privilege, the latter of which offering easier maneuverability for wheelchairs. The Executive rooms are especially spacious with tall windows that curved around the room all the way to the bathroom, but for those looking for that extra luxury, the Suites are where you can bask in the city lights from your bathtub. All rooms come with LED TV, high-speed WiFi, minibar and coffee maker. Supporting the global go green effort, there are no plastic water bottles. Instead, there's a pitcher which can be refilled anytime at water stations on each floor.

Unwinding has never been easier with the wellness area on the 17th floor, including an indoor gym, pool bar, swimming pool, spa for couples and individuals, along with amazing scenery and chill atmosphere. The Batavia Lounge is a quiet, elegant space while the all-day dining Flora Restaurant is where the culinary magic happens, serving an ever-evolving menu of Indonesian and international dishes.

Executive Chef Yogi takes the challenge of elevating traditional cuisine while remaining faithful to its authenticity. Its signature Oxtail Soup has a stronger garlic taste but still surprisingly fresh, while the Oxtail Soup with Basil and Tamarind has a clearer soup with a spiciness level of your choice - bite the chili if you dare. Jakarta's very own Soto Tangkar comes with milk-based soup instead of the usual coconut-milk, resulting in a more savory taste.

For the sweet-toothed, the Extraordinary Honey Banana Fritter (Pisang Goreng Madu Luar Biasa) is satisfyingly addictive, especially with the caramel and butterscotch dipping. Also not to miss are the Ribs with Coriander and Green Chili Sambal, Mie Tarik, and Fried Duck with Sambal Roa. You can look forward to more of these locally inspired cuisine in the future.

Among the MICE market, Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto is especially popular for meetings and events, offering 13 meeting rooms on two floors with floor-to-ceiling windows, some of which can be adjoined. Currently, larger private events can make the most of the pre-function area, but the Java Ballroom is well on its way to cater to more people.
