For the third time, Maggie Hutauruk-Eddy as Founder and Creative Director of 2Madison Avenue, and talented designer from Indonesia showcased her artworks at the New York Fashion Week 2020/2021.
Maggie presented her collection under the title “The Liga”, which explores the concept of environmental responsibility. The collection incorporates 2Madison Avenue’s eclectic style, which mixes style, color, texture, structure, and construction, with the combination of marine motifs and delicate brocade material. The “Liga” was presented through 16 exclusive ready-to-wear looks and six additional designs.
On 18 February 2020, Maggie has returned to Jakarta to showcased the "Liga" collection before Indonesian fashion enthusiasts. Carrying Maggie's concern for the environment, this collection also uses recycled materials namely burlap sacks, which combined with a variety of other materials, such as brocade and Ulos Ikat weaving. Presented in colorful and strong brushstrokes of pictures of notable figures, such as Greta Thunberg, young environmentalist, former Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti and two of the world's major leaders namely President of the USA, Donald Trump and President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
