Lenny Agustin Introduces Batik of Sula

Collaborating with Sula Island district government, North Maluku, Lenny Agustin held her solo fashion show at Jakarta Fashion Week 2019, presenting 40 collections under the label of The Xoela batik. The fabric were created by 23 Sula Batik craftsmen who trained by Lenny and her team within 6 month.

“Wansosa” in Sula language means Bee. The designer translated the philosophy of bee into unique blouses, skirts with volume and asymmetrical cutting, loose jacket, and mix and match dress.

Black and yellow highlight most collection, complemented by other dark colors like dark blue, brown, and maroon. Other bright colors such as orange, blue, green and pink also purple are presented to represent the natural environment of the bee, as well as the beauty of all flowers.
