The biggest, longest, and most inclusive annual event that Jakarta has ever seen is back in its 48th year. The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran was held to coincide Jakarta’s 488th birthday on June 22nd and was held For 38 days, from May 29th to July 5th 2015. The event was held on a 120,000 m² property and participated by more than 2,700 companies and 1,500 stands, filled with a variety of entertainment and activities for the public. Participants of the event consisted of private businesses and also MSMEs promoting a variety of products, crafts, and services. 

As an initiative to conserve the local Betawi culture, a special area called Kampung Betawi was created to showcase a variety of Betawi cultural heritage which involves public figure and performances. Not only that, 60 designated spots were also provided for 300 Kerak Telor sellers throughout the venue. Kerak Telor is a special Betawi delicacy of fried duck egg mixed with rice, and for a long time has been considered as a staple Jakarta Fair food.
