Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini, Ambassador of the European Union to Indonesia and to Brunei Darussalam Vincent Guérend, ambassadors of the European Union countries and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Retno Marsudi rang the bells to open Destination Europe: Travel and Culture Fair at Balai Kartini Convention Center, Jakarta.

Following the success of its 2014 event, Destination Europe 2016 was held from 9-10 April 2016 and continued to be the biggest European Union event in Indonesia. With more than 60 exhibitors including 22 EU and 3 European countries, the event offered engaging and unique European experiences from music performances, cooking demonstrations, photograph opportunities, language classes, to interactive games and culinary festival, serving as inspirations for the visitors to plan their Europe trips through the available travel agent and airline booths.

Aside from door prizes and mini competitions throughout the event, visitors received a special prize after filling their “Destination Europe passport” with stamps from all country booths.
