As a silent witness to numerous historical events, the Homann Hotel was built between 1871 and 1872 and was owned by the Homann family. It is famous for its location on Jl. The grandeur of the hotel designed in an art deco style has hosted world calibre celebrities, including stars of the silent screen such as Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford. During the Asia Africa Conference it played host to statesman from various nations including Ho Chi Minh, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, U Nu, Zhou Enlai, Gamal Abdul Nasser, and Tito.

The manager of this grand hotel is Agus Sunaryo, or Pak Iguy as he is known, was born and raised in Bandung. He graduated from the hospitality & economy faculty and has consistently built his career to take the position as General Manager in 8 various international and local chain hotels. His extensive professional background and areas of expertise range from Management Procedure, Project Management, Coaching & Mentoring, and Forecasting & Finance, to Branding Development and many others. These areas of expertise have become valuable assets throughout his career.

The rich history of the Hotel Savoy Homann continues to develop by offering exceptionally high standards of service amid the luxurious surroundings. These combine style, elegance and unique art deco with a comfortable aesthetic for travelers who are wither dining or staying at the hotel. With the recent completion of renovations on the hotel’s main lobby and Sidewalk, it has further added to  the elegant atmosphere that ensures an opulent and spacious welcome for guests. Further development is planned in the renovation of the Mian Kitchen food and beverage outlet.
